Conference Purpose: This second National Bioenergy and Wood Products Conference is designed to build upon the success and momentum of the first held in Denver 2004 by exploring advances made over the past two years. With oil prices at all time highs, biomass heating, electricity, fuel and wood product options appear more appealing than ever. Now is a fortuitous time to gather and dialogue on the latest developments in woody biomass policy, scientific, entrepreneurial, and community circles. The Conference will begin by assessing the current policy context at the national and state levels. This will be followed by assessments of the current state of technologies relating to woody biomass utilization, wood products and bioenergy options. A unique compilation of success stories will also be presented giving each attendee a broad exposure to current issues, including keys to success and pitfalls to avoid, as well as the tools and networks to pursue profitable biomass endeavors. The conference planning team is currently accepting applications for exhibits at the conference. Guidelines to apply follow.
